Memory Care

Memory care facilities are usually part of a nursing home or an assisted living community that is specifically for people with dementia. These facilities typically have a larger staff that offers more supervision, and they include security features to prevent residents from wandering outside unsupervised. Anyone with dementia is a candidate for a memory care facility.

Seniors who have issues like accidents caused by stoves or faucets being left on, wandering or getting lost even in familiar environments, or who are unsure about how they would react in emergency circumstances might consider moving into a Memory Care community.
